Organization and Responsibilities Description

Del Mar Hills Academy is a kindergarten through sixth grade public school within the Del Mar Union School District. HDP 191 students work within classrooms under the supervision of the classroom teacher and school psychologist, and work with children individually and in small groups.

Age(s) of Participants

5 to 11 years old.

Orientation Requirement

Orientation is held on the first day the student is onsite.

Check-In Procedure

Sign in and out in the school office.

Research Availability

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Student must complete a portion of hours on Monday or Friday to correspond with site mentor's days at Del Mar Hills Academy. Additional hours may be completed on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday following site mentor approval. Wednesdays are minimum days with dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Observations at site must begin no later than 9:00 a.m.; preferred start time is 8:00 a.m.

Dress Code

Neat, business casual attire appropriate for an elementary school setting.

Testing Requirements

  1. Letter of Clearance from Field Research Coordinator
  2. TB test

Additional Requirements

Confidentiality should be observed at all times.
