Organization and Responsibilities Description
Hanna Fenichel Center for Child Development is a psychoanalytically informed training center for interdisciplinary research concerning typical early childhood development. There is an emphasis on meeting and understanding the emotional needs of children and underscoring the purpose of the early school experience for the child and his or her parents. HDP 191 students may interact with, observe, and interview the children, teachers and staff, and have access to school records for demographic and academic achievement data.
Age(s) of Participants
18 months to 5 years old.
Orientation
Once site placement is confirmed, student should contact site to schedule an orientation.
Check-in Procedure
Students must check in at the main office and call if they are unable to attend.
Research Availability
Morning and limited afternoon sessions are available.
Dress Code
Casual, appropriate attire with closed-toed shoes.
Testing Requirements
- Letter of clearance from the HDP Field Research Coordinator
- TB test
- Livescan Fingerprinting (HDP Students may be exempt from fingerprint requirement)

Confidentiality should be observed at all times.
