Organization and Responsibilities Description
The Gillispie School is an independent coeducational day school that provides programs in early childhood education through grade six, as well as specialty programs in art, music, and science. HDP 191 students observe various aspects of the classroom curriculum, including small group activities, child based projects, teacher methodology, child interactions, and various types of development.
Age(s) of Participants
2 to 12 years old. Winter Quarter - seeking an HDP 191 student to work with 3-5 year olds.
Orientation Requirement
Once placement is confirmed, email to schedule an orientation with the site mentor.
Check-In Procedure
Covered at orientation.
Research Availability
By arrangement with student's schedule. Preferred time is 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Monday-Friday.
Dress Code
Neat, comfortable attire with closed-toed shoes.
Testing Requirements
- Letter of clearance from the HDP Field Research Coordinator
- TB Test
- Livescan Fingerprinting
Other Requirements
Confidentiality must be observed at all times.
