Organization and Responsibilities Description

On a magical site perched above the Pacific Ocean, you’ll discover a down-to-earth retirement community. Casa de Mañana is immersed in sunshine and a coastal salty breeze. It’s invigorating being there, overlooking the ocean with La Jolla’s vibrant village just a block away. Inspired by these breathtaking views, kindred spirits come together to share ideas, passions–and cultivate new ones. This is a multi-level retirement community with independent living and assisted living services. 

Casa de Mañana is a retirement community that prides itself on the mission of “meeting needs through excellence in human serving.”

Student roles and responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute Life Enrichment programs for residents
  2. Collaborate with Life Enrichment Team on new Life Enrichment opportunities for residents 
  3. Market and promote events to the residents 
  4. Acclimate residents to iN2L (It’s Never Too Late) technology system
  5. Maintain a professional and caring attitude towards residents
  6. Provide quality customer service to residents

Seniors, aged 62 years and older

Research Availability

Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm

Dress Code

Comfortable but professional attire.

Clearance Requirements

  1. Volunteer Application 
  2. LiveScan Background Check (paid by Casa de Manana)
  3. TB Test
  4. Site Orientation
